About me
Home

I am an amateur. I have a passion for photography. Loading a new film in my camera is always a special moment for me.

As a teenager, I developed some interest for photography and started with a Canon FT-QL. Then in the mid-70's and in the 80's, I changed to a Nikon F2 and started considering photography as a creative hobby (very few pictures of this period are exhibited here). Then during more than 10 years, I stopped taking pictures.

At the end of the 90's, I chose 24x36, black and white and the Leica M6 for a new start in photography. Since then, spending time to study photos of master photographers (among many of them, HCB, Sebastiao Salgado, Raymond Depardon or Bernard Plossu to mention a few only),  film after film, I have tried to pursue my travel in photography and to capture the beauty and the fleeting reality of decisive and non-decisive moments.

Now being attracted by medium format, square and panoramic composition.

Here is the material that I am currently using:

  • Leica M (M7 and MP) -  Summicron's 50mm, 35mm, and 28mm;  Elmarit 90mm.

  • Hasselblad 503CX - Planar 80mm, Sonnar 150mm and Distagon 50mm

  • Hasselblad Xpan - 45 and 90mm.

  • also playing with Rolleiflex TLR's and a Voigtlander Bessa II.

  • Ilford & Fuji B&W films, Fuji Velvia 100.

  • Ilford papers and chemicals, Kodak selenium toner.
